WHAT IS DINO’S SCIENCE CLUB?

Join Dino the dinosaur for our science club, a place where curious 6–12-year-olds can dive deeper, think bigger, and make new discoveries every single week. In our hour-long sessions, young learners get the chance to experiment, investigate, and follow their passions, whether that’s digging into ancient worlds, exploring outer space, or uncovering the secrets of our planet. Whether you love to get messy, laugh, or ask a million questions, you’ll fit right in.

It’s not just for science experts: it’s for anyone who loves to explore, craft, and discover how our amazing planet works. And no matter how your child learns, they’ll be supported. Dynamic Earth’s friendly team ensures that every young scientist feels welcome, confident, and inspired to explore the world in their own way.

Dino’s sessions run on Saturdays at 10am, 11.30am, 1.30pm and 3pm.

Dino’s runs every Saturday during term time for children aged 6 – 12 years old. We do ask that an adult is available in the building during the 1 hour-long session, but you can take this time to enjoy one of our Planetarium shows or get a sweet treat at the café.

We have sessions available to fit around your schedule with 4 sessions available throughout the day with group sizes of 25 children maximum.

Our friendly Learning and Engagement team will guide your young person through the session and ensure they have fun in a safe and nurturing environment. Block booking is now open for term commencing 25th April 2026!

Book a block of sessions in advance for your child to attend every week. Guarantee their place at Dino’s!

Please be aware that this is a booking for 7 set sessions, sessions cannot be chosen individually when block booking.

No refund will be provided for sessions missed within the block booking.

Saturday Science Sessions with Dino’s are hands on 1-hour workshops developed for children aged 6-12. They cover a variety of topics including Dinosaurs, Space and Environmental Sciences.

The sessions are designed to make science fun and open children’s minds on what it means to be a Scientist with the hopes of sparking new interests and nurturing the creativity of the children.

Workshops last 1 hour, during this time children will take part in a variety of hands on activities including a make and take craft.

Where should children be dropped off and collected?2023-09-12T14:13:02+01:00

On entry to Dynamic Earth children should be taken downstairs to our Discovery Bases on level 2, on the west side of the building. Here, a member of the Dino’s team will check them in. If you are unsure on where to go please talk to a member of staff at our meet and greet desk on arrival.

We currently run 4 workshops a day with a capacity of 25 children. This allows us to reach as many children as we can whilst still maintaining outstanding science engagement.

Are you able to take children under 6 and over 12?2024-02-09T10:06:23+00:00

Unfortunately not. Our activity programme is developed specifically with children aged 6-12 in mind. We do our best to develop an engaging, challenging and stimulating programme that’s fun for everyone in this range. If we learn your child is under the age of six, we reserve the right to ask them to be collected from the club and no refund will be provided.

My child has an additional support need, what support can you offer them to make the most of Dino’s Kids Club?2024-04-18T12:07:00+01:00

We do our very best to create a welcoming and inclusive club for everyone and we ask that parents/guardians make us aware of any additional support needs at the point of booking and get in touch with us directly if there are needs we should be aware of and can potentially make adjustments for. We cannot plan or help if we don’t know about additional needs in advance. Whilst our team will do everything we can to support a welcoming and inclusive club, we cannot offer tailored 1:1 support for children with additional needs and unfortunately, we cannot control factors which some children may find overwhelming as part of the club, such as noise levels from other children.

Can I join my child in the session?2023-09-12T14:19:33+01:00

Unfortunately not. Our sessions are designed for children only to enable then to explore their own creativity and curiosity. We encourage peer to peer learning and the sharing of knowledge and passion between the children. If you would prefer a family workshop we run Digital, and outdoor, sessions during the school holidays. You can find more information about this on our website under the What’s on calendar.
