We’re looking forward to welcoming you to Dynamic Earth! To plan ahead for your visit, please find our Access statement linked above. If there are any specific needs within your party, please contact us beforehand so we can ensure to provide the best possible experience for you.

Dynamic Earth is committed to making our centre accessible to all and has a responsibility to ensure that all people who use or visit the building, are able to evacuate safely in an emergency. We understand that you may have particular needs for evacuating the building in case of emergency. Our staff are trained to assist anyone that requires it; however we can make additional accommodations if you let us know in advance. If you have a Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan (PPEP) or require specific support, please let us know ahead of your visit.

SENSORY RESOURCES

We offer a range of resources to support visitors with additional needs.

We aim to be as inclusive as possible at Dynamic Earth as we believe science is for everyone. All areas of our building are wheelchair accessible and our experienced staff team will assist you whenever you need it to make sure everyone has a fantastic experience.

We have a range of resources to support visitors with additional needs; including sensory workshops, sensory bags, sensory maps, now and next cards and ear defenders.

DIGITAL RESOURCES

Our accessibility resources can be accessed digitally during your visit, or printed copies can be found in-venue. Visit our Accessibility Hub for social stories, our Access Statement, Video Transcripts and more.

BSL INTERPRETATION IN THE PLANETARIUM

Dynamic Earth is proud to be one of the first science centres to offer multiple films and shows with British Sign Language interpretation in our Planetarium programme.

We offer a range of films and shows, including:
CapCom Go! | You Are Here | Don’t Panic! | We Are Stars | We Are Aliens | We Are Guardians

One BSL interpreted screening will be available each day as part of our daily Planetarium schedule. Additional showings can be arranged on request, simply speak to a member of staff when you arrive at the venue, or contact us in advance of your visit.

RELAXED OPENING HOURS

Join us for Relaxed Opening Hours with reduced visitor capacity, lighting alterations, sound adjustments to our exhibits, video captioning and more!

Enjoy Quiet Afternoons for the final three hours of the day on selected dates with reduced visitor capacity, and a designated quiet space.
