Visit Dynamic Earth, the UK’s leading Earth Science Centre and Planetarium, with your school. Immerse your pupils in the history of our planet as you journey into our interactive galleries, focus on specific learning development areas through our unique workshops and finish the day with a mesmerising show in our state-of-the-art Planetarium.

If you are coming to Dynamic Earth in person, you can visit our exhibition, take part in our workshops, or experience our Planetarium. Choose which activities you want to do on the day – you can pick just one or all three!

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
When you visit our centre in Edinburgh, you can tailor your visit to your pupils by selecting which activities suit you best.

Before making a booking, please make sure you have the following:

Whether your learners have any access requirements
This helps us understand the window within which we could book your visit, and let you know more about how we can tailor our sessions to suit your learners’ needs. Please allow at least 3-5 working days for a response.

Please allow up to 10 working days for a response. If you’ve submitted a form or sent us an email, rest assured that we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
If your enquiry is urgent (for example: if you are running late to your booking, or if you have an urgent change to an existing booking with us) please contact enquiries@dynamicearth.org.uk and we’ll do our best to assist you.

TRANSPORT SUBSIDY
With thanks to support from the Scottish Government, we may be able to assist with the cost of your bus, train or boat to make an in-person visit to Dynamic Earth. Qualifying criteria does apply and any subsidy must be claimed within 6 months of your visit.
If your school is eligible for Transport Subsidy and you wish to claim it, please complete and return the following documents to groups@dynamicearth.org.uk
- The completed Transport Subsidy Form
- A certified headed letter with your school’s bank information
- A copy of your travel invoice
We will then process your claim and issue a bank transfer back to the school directly to reimburse you for the relevant amount. Funding is allocated on a first come first served basis and only after you have visited.
ACCESSIBILITY
Dynamic Earth is committed to ensuring our experiences are as inclusive as possible.
Dynamic Earth is fully accessible for wheelchair users, and we have a variety of tools to help with sensory needs. Reasonable adjustments can be made to our workshops to ensure your learners get the most out of them.
